Choices:The Choice You Make, Makes YOU!

Last week, we talked about how choice is your life’s remote control. This week, let’s look at the incredible impact of those choices—not just on you, but on everyone around you.

John Wooden said, “The choice you make, makes you”. That’s deep! Every choice you’ve ever made, big or small, has built the person you are right now.

Small Choices, Massive Impact

The awesome news? If you don’t like a result in your life, all you have to do is make a better choice to get a better outcome. It’s a guaranteed path to getting better, because you “don’t get better by chance, you get better by choice”.

And here’s the best part: Making good choices doesn’t just benefit you—it benefits others. When you make a good choice, you add value to yourself, and that value spills over into your relationships, your community, and your world.

To make good choices that affect others, focus on these three things daily:

  1. Value People: See yourself and everyone around you as valuable simply because you are all human.
  2. Make Yourself More Valuable: Invest in yourself (your skills, your health, your knowledge) through good choices. This helps you and helps others.
  3. Do Things That Other People Value: Asking for opinions or showing interest in what others are doing is a great way to show you value them.

The journey to changing the world always starts with changing yourself.

The Rise Challenge: Choose one of the three points above that you feel you need to improve most. Then, take one specific action every day for the next three days to reinforce that choice.
